This week has been an absolute feast for all esports fans. The CS:GO ESL Road to Rio and the Dota 2 Puskha League have been the gifts that keep on giving. They continue on Thursday and I cover them both in my esports best bets post.
My esports betting tips for today also included clashes from the Epic Primer League and the LoL European Masters. Each pick includes the latest odds and my reasoning. In the end, I also add a list of the individual esports betting previews our team has prepared for today.
Ninjas in Pyjamas vs. Astralis Over 2.5
- Game: CS:GO
- Tournament: ESL One Road to Rio: EU
- Starting time: 9:30 am Pacific Time
- Odds: +123
- Where to bet: BetOnline
One of the most anticipated matches from the ESL Road to Rio today certainly is the clash between Ninjas in Pyjamas and Astralis. NiP is leading the group with three victories and is still the underdog against the Danish team.
I don’t think that backing any of the sides to win this one is among the best esports bets today, but the over 2.5 maps available for +123 certainly is tempting. Both squads already engaged in a couple of long and gruesome matches, so another close encounter makes a lot of sense.
Natus Vincere vs. Virtus.pro Over 2.5
- Game: Dota 2
- Tournament: Pushka League, D1
- Starting time: 10 am Pacific Time
- Odds: +123
- Where to bet: SportsBetting.Ag
Next in my list of top esports betting tips is the late Pushka League match on Thursday. Natus Vincere started the competition with a defeat, but bounced back to win three in a row and now sits in second place of the CIS group.
The next match is against one of the favorites Virtus.pro and I feel this one might be a joy to watch. Considering the number of matches decided after three rounds in the past couple of days and the form of both sides, the odds of +123 for over 2.5 is certainly among the top esports betting picks today.
Gen.G to Beat Cloud9
- Game: CS:GO
- Tournament: ESL One Road to Rio, NA
- Starting time: 1 am Pacific Time
- Odds: -140
- Where to bet: 10Bet
Another ESL One Road to Rio match that offers a lot of potential is the clash between Gen.G and Cloud9. Both sides will be confident based on their performance so far. Gen.G leads the group with three victories and another win today might be enough for a guaranteed spot in the top two.
The team has been excellent so far and I don’t think that the next opponent can stop them. Cloud9 certainly improved after losing its opening match and it won’t be easy, but I’m backing Gen.G to snatch the victory here.
More Esports Betting Tips for Today
- Gamer Legion to beat BT Excel; -154
- Movistar vs. G2 Esports under 2.5; -167
- Triumph vs. Evil Geniuses over 2.5; +175
The odds I used above are subject to change and might be different by the time my esports betting tips reach you. That’s not a bad thing per se, as the prices might be higher. I recommend you to take a look at what some of the top bookmakers offer to find the best odds.
Time to return to the best esports bets for today and the only LoL match I cover. BT Excel has been the punching bag in Group A of the European Masters Main Event, while Gamer Legion is fighting for a spot in the playoffs. I expect a victory for the favorite in this one and the price of -154 is good enough to go for it.
The next match is from the ESL One Road to Rio, Europe. Movistar Riders surprised everyone so far, but I think they might suffer their first heavy defeat. The Under 2.5 option against G2 covers a clean victory for the favorite and has a bit of insurance in case the Spaniards rise to the occasion.
Another match from the same competition that caught my attention is the encounter between Evil Geniuses and Triumph. Based on the performance of both sides so far, I can’t believe that the price for over 2.5 maps is set at +175 and that’s certainly one of the best esports bets for today.
