Earlier today Global Esports made their first foray into the DOTA 2 scene, by announcing their new roster. With Esports booming in India, this move does not come as a surprise.
The roster will be looking forward to making its mark in the upcoming ESL India Premiership Summer Season and other upcoming events.
The roster has some well-known and experienced players, from various top teams like ROG Titans and LXG.
First up we have ex-Signify Omkar “PASOLL” URUNKAR, who was last seen playing for LXG Esports. He will be the captain and Position 5 support.
Next up we have Ketan “EVIL-ASH” Goyal, last seen playing for ROG TITANS,who will pick up the role of Position 4 support.
Following him to this roster is Darshan “A35” Bata, last seen playing for ROG TITANS as well, playing the role of offlaner.
For the role of MID LANER, we have Sahil “Micro” Viradia, last seen on Team Buriza for ESL India Summer season 2018.
Rounding up the roster, we have another ex-ROG titans player in Akshay “ZXC” Dhodi, who will play the role of Position one carry.
The following statement was released by Global Esports :
Internationally Global eSports already has established teams in titles like Overwatch, Apex Legends and Fortnite with our teams competing in global tournaments being among the top-ranked teams, most of our players play out of our 3 floor Korean Boot camp & Training Facility.
We are looking to bring the same esports ethics to India since there is an abundance of talent here to compete not only locally but also internationally. With CS:GO, Dota 2 and PUBG we hope to take the SEA scene by storm and build our players up as superstars.
As for the players we chose, PasoLL is by far the most experienced and talented veteran in the Indian Dota scene. A35, Zxc and Evil-Ash have built outstanding synergy and been playing together for the course of the last year. Micro is by far the biggest potential talent we’ve come across and with the right guidance, coaching and knowledge transfer, we’re hoping our squad are gonna take the South East Asian scene by storm!
The complete roster is as follows :
- Akshay ‘Zxc’ Dhodi – Position 1
- Sahil ‘Micro’ Viradia – Position 2
- Darshan ‘A35’ Bata – Position 3
- Ketan ‘Evil-Ash’ Goyal – Position 4
- Omkar ‘PasoLL’ Urunkar (C) – Position 5
Global Esports will kick off their new beginning at ESL India Premiership Summer Edition next week, where they will try their best to qualify for the LAN FINALE.
We look forward to seeing this new roster excel in the upcoming ESL India Premiership Season and all future events !
