The Xbox Series X and Xbox Series S launch tomorrow, November 10, and unless you were quick enough to snag a preorder when they first went live on September 22, you may be looking to finally secure your Xbox Series X/S order on launch day. Microsoft has said that more Xbox units will be available for purchase at launch, though the company has given no official updates this week.
Though Sony has officially confirmed that PS5 orders will be online-only on release day due to COVID-19 safety precautions, Microsoft has not confirmed the same for the Xbox Series X/S. That said, we do expect all major retailers will stick to online-only for both consoles, so don’t plan to camp outside your local GameStop.
Which retailers will have the Xbox Series X/S on November 10?
One retailer, Walmart, has confirmed exactly when you’ll be able to order the Xbox Series X and S online on Tuesday. Both consoles will be restocked on Walmart.com at 9 AM PT / 12 PM ET on November 10, so you’ll only have one shot at securing your Xbox order at Walmart. Meanwhile, the retailer has four different time slots for PS5 orders that day, so it’s unfortunate that hopeful Xbox buyers won’t have the same opportunity.
In Target’s Black Friday 2020 ad, the retailer confirmed it will have the Xbox Series X and Series S in stock online-only on November 10. No specific restock time was given. Order Pickup and Drive Up will be available as well as standard shipping.
Meanwhile, Best Buy has announced it will not have any Xbox Series X or Series S units in brick-and-mortar stores until 2021. The retailer would not confirm online availability for launch day and kept its plans vague, saying the Xbox Series X/S will be up for purchase on BestBuy.com when units are available.
Though GameStop has not confirmed whether it’ll have the Xbox Series X and S available online at launch, you can count on it showing up on GameStop.com sometime tomorrow. GameStop did share more concrete plans about Black Friday, saying a limited quantity of Xbox Series X and S consoles will be available in stores when they open at 7 AM on November 27.
No other retailers have shared specific plans for restocking the Xbox on launch day. To be prepared on Tuesday, you’ll want to be at your computer with payment info nearby and keep an eye on all major retail listings.
