Beyond the Summit and Epic Esports Events announced a brand new collaboration to create a Dota 2 esports tournament. Starting its qualifiers on June 6, Beyond Epic features a $250 thousand prize pool. RuHub broadcast studio also provides its experience along with these two esports giants to make this tournament an unforgettable experience. After the cancelation of The International 2020, fans will obviously welcome such an event.
Dota 2 Beyond Epic
On Epicenter’s official website, fans can find details about Beyond Epic. This tournament features two divisions, one for China and the other for Europe/CIS. On June 7, the European Open qualifiers take place to determine which team advances to the close qualifiers. After competing against seven invited teams, only the two best teams will advance to the group stage. Unlike Europe, the Chinese division starts directly at the group stage.
For Europe and CIS, the group stage takes place between June 15 and June 24. However, for the China division, it will be from June 21 to June 25. Scheduled between June 25 to June 28, Chinese and European playoffs respectively get $50 thousand and $200 thousand cash prizes.
For the European and Commonwealth division, Virtus.pro, Natus Vincere, OG, Nigma, Team Liquid, Alliance, and FlyToMoon have already confirmed their participation. In addition, PSG.LGD, Vici Gaming, Royal Never Give Up, CDEC Gaming, Invictus Gaming, Team Aster, and Sparking Arrow Gaming are set to participate in the Chinese division.
As the Chinese and European divisions have 8 and 12 slots, this list is not exhaustive. Fans can still expect to see their favorite teams participate.
